The Pets We Abandon

Image
In Pakistan, owning pets especially expensive, high breed ones has sadly become more about social display than responsibility. People are buying pets simply for fun or to follow trends. These pets are gifted like toys on birthdays or kept to make Instagram stories look cute. But what happens when the charm wears off? They throw them out. Just like that. I have personally witnessed this. I know families that kept a kitten only till it was small and “cute” and once it grew up, they dumped it outside their house, on roads, or worse, near trash bins. No one thinks about how that animal feels, how confused and scared it must be to be thrown out of the only home it ever knew. And this is not rare. Most of the rescued cats I have come across are Persian. That is not a coincidence. Abuse of animals is a well-known issue that’s often talked about in media, but abandonment is something that people do not even consider wrong. It is not even seen as cruelty. They think, at least I did not ...

How to clear your upcoming LAT exam | LAT exam Pakistan 2024 .

LAT is the official test every aspiring lawyer has to clear before getting admission in any law college. Clearing the exam with 50 % marks is necessary. This is a competitive exam and one has to work hard for clearing it. If you are looking for a complete and precise preparation guide then this article is for you.

Here are a few points that you can easily follow and clear your upcoming exam.

1) Get yourself familiar with the syllabus and exam pattern :

Before starting the preparation for any exam one should get familiar with the syllabus and the type of questions that will be asked in the upcoming exam The LAT exam is divided into two portions one is Objective and the other is Subjective. You will be given 2 hours and twenty minutes to complete it.

Objective portion: It comprises 75 marks one has to at least get 32 for clearing this portion. It is divided into 5 parts one is English (20 marks), General knowledge (20 marks), Pak Studies (10 marks), Islamic studies (10 marks ), Urdu (10 marks ), and maths (5 marks).
Subjective portion: It comprises 25 marks. There are two things in the subjective portion. One is an essay (15 marks ) and the other is a personal statement (10). You will get a choice in the essay part but the personal statement has no choice.

2) Buy a practice book :

Buying a practice book is very important as you will be able to know the type of questions that will be asked. There are many practice books available in the market that you can easily buy. I will recommend buying the Dogar Uniques LAT guide. But remember that it's just for practice don't rely on the book only.

3) Study Past Papers :

Studying past papers is also a substantial step. You can easily download past papers from Google. You will get a sentiment about the questions and the topics that are repeated. By solving past papers you will also be able to evaluate your level of preparation.

4) Highlight the most important and repeated topics :

As this is a competitive exam and no one can tell with clarity what kind of questions will be asked. Because of this thing, students get confused about the preparation and what should they study. But don't worry the best way to secure your marks is to highlight the most important topics that are asked in every exam. For example in general knowledge, you should learn the capital and currency of the countries especially countries that are near to Pakistan. Similarly in Pak studies get help from the inter book. Most of the questions are asked from there. Learn all the major events that have happened in the history of Pakistan. In maths, your concepts for solving average and percentage questions should be strong. In English, you should know the most repeated synonyms and antonyms, prepositions, etc. In Islamic studies learn about the pillars of Islam, the major events of the Prophet's (S.A.W)life, etc.

5) Clear your concepts :

Make sure to clear your concepts. Don't route learn anything. Just study everything with clarity and concentration. Also, make sure to learn every concept that is up to date.

6) Check the patterns of essay and personal statement :

The essay and personal statement are very important. Because the paper checker will undoubtedly check it very cautiously. Remember don't write the name of headings in your essay. Your essay should be in its parts which are Introduction, Main body, and Conclusion. Don't mix the information you are giving. first, understand the topic. Two pages are given to you so make sure to write the relevant information.
Personal statements should also be precise and relevant to the topic.
Now it's up to you if your English is good write both questions in English. If you feel like your Urdu is better write both in Urdu. It does not matter.

8) Make sure to attempt the paper carefully :

Attempt your paper carefully. You will be given an OMR sheet. So fill the bubble carefully and don't do poor writing while attempting the subjective portion. Presentation matters a lot.

Conclusion: LAT is undoubtedly not child's play. But with smart preparation, one can easily clear it. If you don't have much time it's okay just utilize your days and study smart as told above and you will be able to clear your exam very easily.

For any query, regarding preparation you can comment. I will be happy to help.
