How to score good marks in fsc.| Tips from toppers.

We have always been told how much intermediate marks matter. From holding 50 % weightage in Mdcat exam and similarly half percentage in ECAT. Fsc marks do matter if your goal is to go to the most distinguished institutes in Pakistan for your higher education. There is no debate that fsc is the toughest two years of student life. You have selected Pre-medical or Pre-engineering they both are equally tough. Also, the time duration of fsc part 1 is very limited. Now the question arises how can we score a good percentage? I admit fsc is difficult but with proper time management and practice it is not impossible to achieve a good percentage. Even if you are done with your part 1 or are new to fsc this blog will be really helpful for you. Here I will guide you, and by following these tips you will surely make your way to the top.

Know your ambitions and work on your mindset : How many students are there who score 90 percent in matric but when they go to college they hardly pass. Even if fsc is difficult, the real reason for their performance is not the difficulty of the course it is because the students just go to college for enjoyment, they find themselves free from the eyes of teachers and parents. Now, this is something you should consider before selecting fsc for your intermediate . Remember your dreams and try to be rational this is a very important time of your life, work on your mind and study hard that's the only way to excel.


Be regular: Being regular is very important. Because when you skip college for one day you will find yourself blank the next day. That is why make sure you are regularly attending your college. Even if you skip college for an emergency make sure to take remedial classes from your teacher.


Ask for help: Asking for help is very important. So whenever you found yourself stumbling over a concept make sure to clear it. To ace your exams it is very important to have clear knowledge.

Make notes from your own hands and revise daily: The thing is many students think that in college there is no need to make notes, this is a very bad concept because when you write notes from your own hands then the thing you studied will be stored in your long-term memory and it will be easier for you to prepare for exams.








Make notes of past papers : This was something I used to do and it really made a difference . To do this download all the past papers from 2022 till 2017 from the official website of your respective boards. Buy a bundle of colour papers. Now take a paper and start writing all the questions that are relevant to chap 1 in one paper , first write mcqs , then both sections A and B.
Then follow the same procedure for the remaining chapters .By doing this you will get past paper worksheets of every chapter individually . Now when you will prepare for a exam after learning the chapter take the relevant worksheet of that chapter that we made and solve it.It will give you an extensive knowledge about important questions .


Join academy only if you can manage : If you feel like your college is not the best and you cannot study without someones help ,  you can join academy but you should know one thing , a student cannot pay attention to both institute that is school and academy concurrently , you have to give all your attention to one of them now that's up to you what you select. Some of the good academies you can find in every city of Pakistan are Torcia, Global, Milestone, etc..But remember for scoring good marks in fsc academics are not necessary.



Tips for problematic subjects: For first year, biology for pre-medical and maths for engineering are the most difficult courses. So to ace them make sure to practice regularly. Biology requires you to learn it daily and Maths requires practice so don't leave them for the last, because it will be very difficult to cover them. Physics is not that difficult in both parts but the paper is always very conceptual. So make sure to prepare physics conceptually. For organic chemistry in second part which seems a nightmare to students . Try to practice every reaction two to three times in a day .PractIce, practice,   practice that is the only way to get good marks in it.


Take rest pray and believe : Aside from studying make sure to take rest. Dont over exhaust yourself .  And remember never skip your prayers . Believe in Allah, take care of your mental health .And take care of your eating habits .


Conclusion : Fsc is indeed hard but with proper time management and hard work one can easily get good marks in it, Work hard, follow these tips, and then leave matters to ALLAH. You will surely ace your exams.
